State Farm Insurance at 1811 Curry Road, Schenectady, New York.

My car was broken into and my dashboard, CD player, Ipod stolen. I contacted Statefarm and they sent an evaluator to estimate the damage. He told me that he can only estimate for the items attached to your car, therefore the Ipod is not covered...okay, fine...He estimated my damages to be around $256 of which $250 was deductible and so Statefarm gave me $6. However, when I went to a mechanic to have the repairs done, it costed me about $300. Moreover, Statefarm gave me an old dashboard as replacement that had about 12000 more miles than my car actually had. Also, I was asked to get the other parts (like the trim panel, the AC vents, etc) myself from junkyard at my own cost. The junkyard parts too costed me additional.
Moral of the story - Going for comprehensive insurance cover did not really help due to incorrect estimation by the statefarm agent.
